Crafted from traditional Shipibo fabric, this caftan is hand-painted by Shipibo women using natural pigments extracted from local tree barks. Each textile is finished with a traditional "magic mud rinse" that sets the design into the fabric, creating a permanent, vibrant finish. The intricate geometric patterns reflect the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Shipibo people of the Peruvian Amazon.
The Shipibo-Conibo, an Indigenous people of the Peruvian Amazon, a culture is deeply rooted in the rhythms of nature and spiritual tradition.
The geometric designs—known as kené—are more than decoration. Each pattern is a visual representation of an Ikaros, a sacred healing song received during spiritual ceremonies. These designs trace the invisible pathways of the spirit, embodying protection, connection, and transformation.
